Official notice from the relatives of three political prisoners currently imprisoned at the "Black Jail" in El Aaiun

At El Aaiún, 27 of April of 2006

We, families of the jailed saharawi political prisoners at the local prison of El Aaiún, known as "the Black jail", want to inform the public opinion of the following:

1. Contrary to the moroccan-official propagandistic allegations in regards to the liberation of ALL the saharawi political prisoners, our children Hmmad Dadi, the Musaui Amhed and the Isaui Husein; are still held as prisoners in spite of being the circumstance of their arrest equal to the rest of the other saharawi political prisoners. We consider this an exclusion and lack of their rights.

2. The penitentiary administration took advantage of this exclusion from rest of the freed saharawi political prisoners, and ripped them of all their rights as prisoners of conscience, in particular the right to receive visits. . . Even worse, the administration ordered them to be held in a small cell with 65 common prisoners.

3. The director of the "Black Jail" did not hesitate and attacked them, by means of torture, insults and humiliations as soon as the prisoners protested because of the deterioration of their situation.

4. Because of this, our beloved children have started a hunger strike on the 26 and 27th of April 2006, and are determined to use all other necesary means in order to achieve their legal rights. Known the grave facts, we wish to inform the public opinion the following:
Our protest against the exclusion of our children from the liberation some political prisoners benefitted from due to the international pressure.
We asked for the liberation of all the political detainees and the end to arbitrary detentions.
We request that whilst imprisoned, that they are treated with dignity and under better conditions.
We consider the penitentiary authorities and the Moroccan Ministry of Justice directly responsible for the consequences of the deterioration of the physical and psicological state of the prisoners, as a result of the cruel treatment and harassment which they are put under.
We requested the support of all national and international human rights organizations in our legitimate vindications.

They sign in name of the relatives of the political detainees saharauis:
