The Spanish Pro-Human Rights League has denied through a public announcement Francisco Jose Alonso´s “supposed” declarations made to the Moroccan Press Agency, where he “manifested” that no Human Rights guarantees existed in the Sahrawi Refugee camps of Tindouf.
“I have never made such statements” Francisco José Alonso declared. “On the contrary, the League has been able to verify on the field and in many occasions that there are no Human Rights violations in the refugee camps, whereas I cannot say the same about Human Rights in the Moroccan occupied zones.
“The League has been waiting for the Moroccan authorities permission in order to send a delegation to check on the permanent violation of Human Rights in situ for over a year now”. “It is a well known fact that the Moroccan government systematically denies the entry of observation missions to the occupied areas of Western Sahara”.
“The League would like to take the opportunity to ask again for Morocco´s government authorisation to let a delegation from its organization make an observation visit and verify the existence of many denounces it has received”.
