AFAPREDESA is invited to Granada, Spain to talk about the history and current Human Rights situation in Western Sahara under Moroccan colonial occupation.

The Granada Friends of the Sahara Association organised 2 meetings on the 14th and the 15th of March and invited AFAPREDESA for a most interesting talk

The talks were held in the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology on Wednesday the 14th, and in the Faculty of Law the next day. All guests were informed about historical facts and the horrifying atrocities comitted by the Moroccan colonial armed forces all throughout the 32 years of ilegal take over of the "Occupied" Western Sahara.

The attendants, mostly students from the University of Granada and residents from the city, were able to understand the term of the peaceful "Intifada" and peaceful resistance the sahrawi people have decided to endure, with its many times humiliating consecuences they have had to pay as they have been continously arrested by Moroccan police just for the fact of believing and wishing for a referendum for a free country to be held.

Mohammed Salem (researcher) and Mohammed Laabeid (AFAPREDESA) were greatly thanked for their precious contribution to the attendants knowledge of the matter.
